With the addition of two daily roundtrip trains by the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad from Alamosa to Monte Vista,
the Monte Arts Council will host Art in the Park every Sunday from
10-3 (or later if we're still busy!) We aim to provide a laid
back venue for both artists and train passengers and have a great time
in the process! If you have questions or , as an artist, expect to be there, please confirm by calling 719-850-0114.

You need not feel the need to sell to participate! Join us to visit with other artists for the fun, for the company and for inspiration. We especially encourage artists to set up a workspace in the park and work plen aire. Sometimes, the best way to be inspired is to share what you are doing!

If you are an artist or crafts person that is looking for a fun, stress-free venue, please come join us! A MAC member will be on hand at 9:30AM Sundays to direct setup and collect the nominal 10.00 fee for space. (Electricity is available for an extra fee.) NOTE: There is no charge if you are not retailing or to MAC members!

***There will be no Art in the Park July 13 or August 3 whilst we attend or work at the SLV Folk Arts and Fiber Festival and the Crestone Music Festival.

Ukelelist Mike Bork and Country/Folk singer Fred Hargrove practice their act, "The Horsin' Rounders" during Art in the Park.

** You must have both a Colorado sales tax license (16.00) and a Monte Vista Vendor's Permit (5.00) to vend. It acceptable to use copies of your mailed check and applications until the official copies arrive.
