Bisque: 

1.  A thick creamy soup made from fish, shellfish, meat or vegetables.

2. A pale pinkish brown colour.

3. Clay that has been fired once but not glazed.

A MAC fundraiser, the Bisque Bowl also serves to bring together the Monte Vista community in a fun and ongoing creative endeavor. For two months, artists and community members are invited into the studios of local potters to make ceramic bowls. These bowls are then sold at a dinner on the opening night of the Monte Vista Holiday Festival. Persons who buy a bowl can fill their bowl with soup made by other members of the Monte Vista Community!
